The picture is deceiving. It is acutally showing 2 stools stacked together. I had a family get together where the barstools were commented on numerous times in regards to instability. My family did not feel 100% safe sitting on this barstool. However, for the price it is what's to be expected.

I have a small condo at the shore and needed seating for a wall mounted bar that does not take up a lot of space. In theory, stackable stools would work. I find it difficult however to restack the stools once they have been separated. Also, I don't think they'd be too sturdy if used by an overweight individual. Overall,they serve the purpose.[...]

I love to cook and feel uncomfortable inviting more people to dine than I have seating for. The fact that these barstools stack into an attractive "podium", available to use as extra seating as needed, is what I love about them!

These stools, though functional and stylish are not sturdy. We replaced the 1" wood screws on each leg with a thru-bolt and they were MUCH sturdier. It should be made clear that without this modification, these chairs are very flimsy and should not be used in a commercial setting.

The stools are exactly what we were looking for ... they stack when not in use, taking up the space of one stool. They are well made. They will be very useful for crowd seating for TV viewing.
