The blender does the job. It was a little more plasticy than I had thought it would be, but still functional. The motor seems to work very hard when making green smoothies on high - very loud and smells sometimes like a burning motor within 30 seconds of turbo speed. Maybe it will last - I use it daily and have had no problems. I expected more quality and weight for that price. I might have tried a cheaper model first if I had been able to try it first. Time will tell.
