International Concepts was founded in 1979 in Greensboro, NC as an unfinished furniture wholesaler, providing furniture to retail stores throughout the Eastern United States. Initially International Concepts only purchased and resold furniture products, however, it soon became obvious that profits and sales could be increased by assembling some of the products at their own facilities.
In 1985, International Concepts moved to a 9,000 sq. foot facility in Jamestown, NC while continuing to wholesale unfinished furniture. In 1987 the company started importing chair components and assembling them to sell to unfinished furniture stores. That same year International Concepts moved from Jamestown to High Point, NC and leased a 24,000 sq. foot facility.
In 1990, the owners of International Concepts purchased a building in Thomasville, NC and the company moved again. The new building more than tripled available warehouse space. Finished furniture was added to the International Concepts lineup. In mid 1994, International Concepts purchased another large facility in Thomasville which brought total manufacturing, office and warehouse space to well in excess of 200,000 sq. feet.
By 1996, the finished furniture line became large enough to create it's own name, "John Thomas Furniture", and the growing volume of customers required that a new manufacturing facility be created. In 2000, International Concepts has almost 400,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space in North Carolina and Arkansas. Today, International Concepts offers a large selection of products such as dining tables, dining chairs, dining sets, counter stools, bar stools, china cabinets and much more! I ordered six of these counter stools and five of them are perfect. One has a slight wobble. They have been used daily by my children for two months and are as good as new. The color is very close to the picture. No assembly requires was a big bonus!!!!

These stools were the perfect choice for our kitchen island. They fit right under the island overhang. They are comfortable, and are easily tucked away when not in use.

These stools fit nicely under our kitchen counter. Though they are simple in design, they are very sturdy, comfortable and attractive. I am pleased with this item and would recommend it to a friend.

I especially liked that they came already assembled, packaged well and delivered in a couple of days. Very impressed! A few weeks later, I was visiting Austin, Texas and saw these same barstools in a high end model home.

Stools were exactly as described. They were sent quickly and the boxes arrived in perfect condition with no damage. The stools are the exact color as shown in the picture, which was very nice since it was the exact color of my kitchen table. Price is good and with free shipping it's even better. Would recommend.
